New Learning Ways & Spaces- What Future In Our Classrooms?

“The main challenge is that our information goes into our pockets, so what we need to do is design the environments so people can collaboratively build and create knowledge together. it is important for learning but leadership as well… you must get everyone’s intellectual capacity contributing” (Kirsti Lonka, Director, Research Group for Educational Psychology, University of Helsinki)

“ I want all the kids to be able to experience a school just like this…the school in the cloud” (Thinklink creator, UNESCO prize winner for education apps, Ulla Koivula, in the EduDay Helsinki April 2019)

Ergonomy of learning & schooling to respond to the unpredictable contexts

The program is Action Based learning and Experience Based Model. We will be using for transformative spaces and ways the U Model from U school MIT, practicing coaching strategies for teachers.  Classrooms, as Living Labs we learn from solutions that work and we scaffold and from failures or mistakes, which means proof we are doing the 21st-century Teaching Jobs: observing HOW is it that learning is actually happening?

From open learning spaces to open learning communities!!

  • everyone contribute ( influence class dynamics)
  • these contributions are resources used constructively ( sustainable) they enhance capacity for Opened Learning Communities
  • seeing the class as a communal (shared spaces of learning with trust comes shared responsibility and co-regulation) from IQ to WeQ (intelligence of the collective)

"You cannot transform as a teacher unless you are in the process for your own transformation first"

What can you get at the end of the program?

1. Support process & material for learning and school ergonomy to allow new learning to happen
2.Socio-technologies to support the process for school development with blended learning
3. Scenario-based practice for the “future of education”, to allow proactive decision making in unpredictable and volatile contexts

This course is amazing!! The indirect strategies used during the course made me feel at ease with the group participants and lots I had time to reflect and learn about myself... in a a safe environment and process some of my emotions that were hindering me in life and as an educator.
